The Master of Sustainable Energy Systems and Smart Grids program aims to prepare specialized academic and professional leaders capable of designing, developing, and managing modern energy systems and smart grids based on sustainable energy technologies and digital transformation in the energy sector.
The program focuses on integrating electrical engineering, renewable energy technologies, intelligent control systems, data analysis, and modern communication technologies to develop innovative solutions that improve energy efficiency and the stability of electrical networks.   • Thesis Track:
    This track focuses on scientific research and academic development and requires students to prepare and submit a specialized research thesis in one of the fields of sustainable energy systems or smart grids.
  • Non-Thesis Track:
    This track is based on practical applications and advanced engineering projects and requires students to complete a comprehensive applied project as part of the graduation requirements.

The program is taught in Arabic, with systematic development of students’ professional English language skills in the fields of smart energy and sustainable electrical engineering.

    Admission Requirements:

    1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with a minimum grade of “Good” or equivalent.
    2. Some applicants may be required to complete remedial courses depending on their academic background.
    3. Basic knowledge of electrical power systems, renewable energy systems, and engineering simulation software is preferred.
    There is no age requirement for admission

Program Duration:
The program consists of two academic semesters of coursework, followed by the thesis or applied project phase, which typically takes between 9 and 18 months, depending on the selected study track
