As part of the college’s plan for academic expansion and in response to the needs of society, we are pleased to announce the establishment of a new department under the name “Department of Special Education” at the College of Humanities, UHA University—an American university accredited by the International Accreditation Organization (IAO) in the United States. The university has also been ranked in the Impact Rankings 2025 issued by Times Higher Education.

About the Department

The Department of Special Education is one of the leading scientific departments at the College of Humanities. It aims to prepare and qualify professionals specialized in the care and education of individuals with special needs, in line with the latest global educational and psychological standards.
The department focuses on educational inclusion, developing the abilities of individuals with various disabilities, and enabling them to actively participate in society. It also works to support their families and contribute to raising community awareness of their rights and needs.
