As part of UHA University’s efforts to support the health sector in Syria, a workshop was held last Monday in Damascus at the Center for Strategic Studies and Health Training of the Syrian Ministry of Health. The workshop brought together the Center’s director, specialists, and department heads on one side, and the Secretary-General of UHA University, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities on the other.

The workshop focused on coordinating research collaboration pathways in the health and mental health sectors and reviewing current national needs.

The workshop concluded with the adoption of a set of priority research topics for the health and mental health sectors. These will form the first step toward a joint work program between the two parties and establish a methodological pathway for developing applied research projects that support future health policies in the Syrian Arab Republic.
