Introduction and Program Objectives

The program aims to prepare academic and professional specialists in combating contemporary crime and advancing criminal justice systems.

It focuses on enabling students to:

  1. Deepen their understanding of the philosophy of criminalization and punishment, as well as the evolution of penal policy.

  2. Develop scientific research skills and comparative judicial analysis of high court rulings.

  3. Keep pace with cybercrimes, digital investigation mechanisms, and artificial intelligence applications.

  4. Qualify for careers in the judiciary, public prosecution, advocacy, and the pursuit of doctoral studies.

Program Structure

Total: 40 credit hours distributed over 4 semesters as follows:

  • Compulsory courses: 28 hours

  • Research seminar and practical applications: 6 hours

  • Master’s thesis: 6 hours

Course Distribution by Academic Year

First Year: Specialized Coursework Phase (24 credit hours)

First Semester (12 hours):

  • Criminal Liability (3 hours – Compulsory Specialization Requirement)

  • Contemporary Criminal Policy and Philosophy of Punishment (3 hours – Compulsory Specialization Requirement)

  • Fundamentals of Criminal Procedure and Fair Trial Guarantees (3 hours – Compulsory Specialization Requirement)

  • Legal Research Methodology (3 hours – Compulsory Specialization Requirement)

Second Semester (12 hours):

  • Cybercrimes and Digital Offenses (3 hours – Specialized Compulsory)

  • Criminal Evidence (Digital) and Electronic Criminal Investigation (3 hours – Specialized Compulsory)

  • International Criminal Law and International Criminal Justice (3 hours – Specialized Compulsory)

  • Organized Crime (3 hours – Specialized Compulsory)

Second Year: Digital Application and Thesis Phase

Third Semester (10 hours):

  • Criminology and Preventive Criminal Policy (3 hours – Compulsory Specialization Requirement)
