Program Description:
The Professional Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology is an advanced post-master's professional doctoral program designed to prepare highly competent clinical psychologists in evidence-based psychological practice, clinical supervision, professional leadership, and applied research.
The program adopts the practitioner-scholar model and integrates advanced clinical training, psychological assessment and diagnosis, evidence-based psychotherapies, cultural competence, professional ethics, neuropsychology, digital mental health, and applied clinical research.
The program focuses on developing professional competence, ethical practice, cultural diversity, and leadership in contemporary mental health services.
Admission Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a master's degree in psychology or a related psychological/health field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Appropriate academic background in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Proficiency in English (at least at the specialized level).
- Statement of professional goals.
- Current curriculum vitae (CV).
- Successful completion of an academic interview.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Conduct advanced psychological assessment and clinical diagnosis.
- Apply evidence-based psychotherapies across diverse populations.
- Integrate CBT, ACT, DBT, and integrative approaches into therapeutic practice.

Curriculum (62 Credit Hours):
Semester 1:
1. Advanced Psychological Assessment, Case Formulation, and Diagnosis — 8 credits
Includes:
- Cognitive ability assessment
- Personality assessment
- Structured clinical interviews
- Case formulation
- Differential diagnosis according to DSM-5-TR
(Accompanying clinical training: 150 hours)
2. Advanced Evidence-Based Psychotherapies — 8 credits
Includes:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Third-wave therapies
(Clinical practicum: 150 hours)
Semester 2:
3. Psychopathology, Psychopharmacology, and Clinical Decision-Making — 8 credits
Includes:
- Advanced psychopathology
- Risk assessment
- Complex disorders
- Major psychopharmacological agents
- Integration of pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy
- Collaborative care models
(Clinical training: 120 hours)
4. Clinical Neuropsychology and Brain-Behavior Relationships — 6 credits
Includes:
- Neurocognitive disorders
- Brain injuries
- Executive functions
- Neuropsychological applications
Semester 3:
5. Clinical Supervision, Leadership, Professional Ethics, and Professional Practice — 8 credits
Includes:
- Clinical supervision models
- Leadership in mental health systems
- Professional consultation
- Professional ethics
- Cultural humility
- Diversity and inclusion
- Global mental health
(Supervised practice: 200 hours)
Supervised Clinical Training and Applied Dissertation:
- External Supervised Clinical Practicum and Internship: 12 credits
- Total clinical hours: 1,100 hours
- Total supervision hours: 400 hours
- Applied Professional Dissertation — 12 credits
- An applied research project addressing a real-world problem in clinical practice.
Clinical Training Requirements:
Completion of the following minimum requirements is mandatory:
- Course-embedded clinical practicum
- Advanced doctoral clinical training
- Intensive clinical internship
Total minimum clinical training and supervision hours:
2,000 hours (minimum)
Graduation Requirements:
To be awarded the degree, students must complete:
- 62 credit hours
- All clinical training requirements
- Professional competence evaluation
- Applied professional dissertation
- Comprehensive examination
- Professional Portfolio

Total Tuition: $4,000 (+ $100 Registration + $300 Defense Fee) - 40% Scholarship: (Egypt, Algeria, Somalia, Djibouti, and Comoros)
Total Tuition: $4,800 (+ $100 Registration + $300 Defense Fee) - 30% Scholarship: (Lebanon, Iraq, Tunisia, Morocco, and Mauritania)
